Who is who
MyClean is software that a cleaning or garden business uses to take bookings and run its team. When you book with a business, that business decides what is collected and why, and is the responsible party under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). JS Software Services, who make MyClean, process the information on the business's behalf as the operator.
What is collected
- Clients: name, phone number, email address, the address of the property, notes about the job, and photos of the work (for example before and after photos).
- Staff: name, email address, working days and the services they do, and an optional photo and short bio.
- Business owners and partners: name and email address, and what is needed to run the subscription.
What it is used for
Taking and confirming bookings, sending the emails and reminders that go with them, assigning and doing the work, and keeping a record of what was done. Information is not sold and is not used for advertising.
Who can see it
The business that you booked with, and its staff for the jobs they are given. A business can also give a silent partner a read-only view of its records, which includes messages on jobs. Photos of homes and staff are kept private: they are only shown to people signed in to that business. JS Software Services can reach the information only to run and support the service.
Money
MyClean does not hold or process client payments. Clients pay the business directly.
Where and how long
Information is stored on a server in South Africa and backed up there. A business decides how long to keep its own records. Ask the business, or write to us, and information can be corrected or removed.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the information held about you. Start with the business you booked with. If you cannot reach them, or the question is about MyClean itself, write to hello@myclean.co.za. You may also complain to the Information Regulator (inforegulator.org.za).
